Albaghdady Plate (طبق البغدادي)
Our signature breakfast spread. Ground meat kabab, golden potatoes, eggplant tomato stew, and two pieces of handmade kubbah, all on one tray.
Located in the heart of Richardson, TX, Albaghdady has been a family-run Iraqi bakery and cafe since 2012 — serving authentic Iraqi sweets, like our authentic baklava, our family has perfected since 1919.

Our menu is built on the authentic Iraqi recipes our family has baked for four generations. From kunafa, manakish, ladyfingers, and fatayer to the baklava that put our name on the map, every item is made the same way it's been made since 1919.
Al-Baghdady is a halal Iraqi bakery and breakfast café in the heart of Richardson, serving the Dallas–Fort Worth area with recipes carried from Baghdad over four generations. Our in-house bakery fires fresh samoon and tandoor bread every morning and turns out trays of baklava, hot kunafa, burma and cream-filled ladyfingers throughout the day.
Mornings bring a full traditional Iraqi breakfast — Kahi & Qeimar, Baqila, Kubba and the signature Albaghdady Plate — paired with cardamom karak chai. Browse the full menu, explore our specialties, or order a sweets spread for Eid, a wedding or a Ramadan iftar through catering. Every item is 100% halal and Zabihah-verified.
Beyond Richardson, we serve Iraqi sweets, bread and catering across the metroplex — from Plano and Allen to Carrollton and other DFW neighborhoods.
From pistachio baklava we've been laying down since 1919 to the zalabia rings that come out crisp every morning.
“Delicious and authentic food that I know a lot of people are missing out on. I love their sandwiches, the bread is so good. And I'm addicted to the sweets, especially the lady fingers they make there themselves. What really makes it the best experience and has me coming back so often is the great service. They're so welcoming and genuine and I appreciate their superb hospitality. It's almost like visiting at someone's home, they're so kind!”
“This is hands-down the best Iraqi bakery. The handmade phyllo dough is incredibly delicate and flaky, and the baklava strikes that perfect balance — crisp layers, rich nuts, and just the right touch of sweetness without being heavy or syrupy. You can truly taste the care and tradition in every bite. I regularly mail treats from Al Baghdady's to family in Florida because they can't find any even slightly as delicious near them.”
“Good services, owner and staff are very kind. Sweets (znoud set, awama, home-made tahini and many types of sweets are very good with great quality). I recommend trying this restaurant because the food and sweets are really good and even the atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy.”
